The Council for Evidence-based Psychiatry (CEP) has interesting publication entitled Unrecognised Facts about Modern Psychiatric Practice. The CEP challenges many of the assumptions commonly made, by professionals and by lay persons, about modern psychiatry.
Is there a link between comedy and psychosis? Or, to put in differently, are comedians a little bit crazy? Turns out that researchers from Oxford wondered about that question so they did a study, published in the British Journal of Psychiatry, asking over 500 comedians to fill out a questionnaire designed to measure psychotic traits in healthy people.
